Miriam Ponce de Leon

Miriam was born in Sweden and started dancing salsa 1992. She started
teaching 1994 together with Harvey. She has won a lot of salsa competitions together with Harvey, including winning the Swedish Championship three times.

She is one of the co-founders of Club Latino Dance Company. Together with
Club Latino and Harvey she has performed and taught around the world,
including representing Sweden at the world Bacardi salsa congress in Puerto
Rico 2000, 2001 and 2003.

The last three years of dancing Miriam and Harvey have trained with a lot
of well known instructors/dancers, such as: Joby and Luis Vasquez, Johnny Vasquez and Fransisco Vasquez from Los Angeles, Jason Molina from Puerto
Rico, Felipe Polanco from Puerto Rico, Santo Rico from New York, Leon Rose
from London, Salsabor from France, Tropical Gem from Milano to mention a few.

Miriam Ponce de Leon

Harvey

Harvey Anturi

grew up in Colombia and has danced salsa all his life. He started teaching in Sweden 1994. He has won a lot of salsa competitions together with Miriam Ponce de Leon, including winning the Swedish Championship three times. He is one of the cofounders of Club Latino Dance Company.

Together with Club Latino and Miriam he has performed and taught around
the world, including representing Sweden at the world Bacardi salsa congress
in Puerto Rico 2000, 2001 and 2003.

Alberto Anturi

was born in Bogota (Colombia) and from an early age he has
been involved with diferent kinds of dances with his twin sister Pilar.
In 1998 Alberto moved to Sweden and ever since he has keept on dancing, not only salsa but
other dances such as afro-peruvian and afro-bolivian folkdance.

Pilar Anturi

This gourgeous Colombian hermanita was born and raised in Bogotá.At the age of five she was already performing on stage and she has continued to dance ever since. Apart from salsa she also masters different latin folklore dances as well as being the queen of reggaeton!
In 1998 she moved to Sweden with her family. She now works as a dance instructor and spends most of her free time on the dance floor - social dancing or rehearsing.

Ociel Ogalde

Ociel born in Chile, grew up in a musical home, father musician and mother dancer. He started to dance hip-hop and breakdance when he was 10 years old. When he was 14 years old he found salsa and have danced it to present day. He has taken lessons whit teachers like Fransisco Vazquez, Leon Rose, Manuel Mascarelle, Chicki Dixon and many more. Ociel lives in Uppsala where he has his own classes since 1996. He had three own dance groups before he was offerd a place in Stockholm Salsa Dance. When Ociel dosn´t dance salsa he work as a chef which is his second passion in life.

Moa Brannäs

Moa has been dancing since the age of seven. She is has an artistic degree in ballet, contemporary dance and jazz from Balettakademien, Lasse Külers and Sollentuna Gymnasium in Stockholm. In 1998 she moved to New York and continued with jazz, contemporary dance, ballet and tap dance at Alvin Ailey American Dance Centre in Manhattan. Most of her spear time was spent at Dance Space in Manhattan taking classes for a number of great dancers and choreographers. She was also a member of the contemporary dance company Olivia Dance Company.
It was in New York she really became addicted to salsa and after one year in New York she moved to Madrid, Spain where she continued to develop her skills in salsa. She has also been taking classes in Afro Cuban and ballet at the Ballet Nacional in Havana, Cuba. Moa has worked with several dance groups and has given classes in jazz, jazz funk, street dance, contemporary and salsa.

Patricio Hallsten

Patricio is born and raiced in Ecuador. In 2001 he moved to Sweden and started to develop his skills in Salsa with among others Harvey and Alberto Anturi. This collaboration has also resulted in a deep friendship.
He has visted many salsa congresses thru the years. In 2006 he came at third place in the competion “the couple of the year” a mix competition in all Latin americas rythmes.
In his sparetime Patricio works as a volunteer in Amnesty International and at the “Patiennämnden” giving his support to the people in need.

Emilia Bustos

Emilia är halvsvenska och halvspanska och började sin dansbana då hon var 19 år. Hon blev då så inspirerad att hon inom kort reste till Kuba och för att studera salsa och stannade där i flera månader.
Efter resan till Kuba har passionen för dans tagit henne runt jordklotet. Hon har studerat, uppträtt och undervisat salsa, argentinsk tango och flamenco i Sydamerika, Nordamerika och Europa. Under 2004 bodde hon i Spanien och turnerade med den argentinske tangomästaren Jimmy Ray och studerade flamenco. Efter det kom hon tillbaka hem till Sverige och började dansa i salsagruppen Salsa Libre och uppträdde med dem bland annat på Hot Salsa Weekend i Stockholm.
Under 2006 var det dags att ge sig av igen och hon flyttade då till USA för att turnera där och i Kanada med den populära musikgruppen Children of the Revolution. Med gruppen syntes hon på nationell TV i USA och hon har även dansat i reklamfilmer och musikvideor.
Emilia har under åren utvecklat sin egen stil och dansar med influenser från både flamenco, argentinska tango och samba.

Didi Postumus

Didi is a "mixed blood" between Surinam (south america), Indonesian (asia) and Dutch but he's born and raised in Holland, Amsterdam.
Didi is from the beginning shaped and inspired by hip-hop and streetdance and started to dance Salsa just for fun together with his mother i year 2001. When he started to combinate salsa together with Hip-hop and street, he was hit by a train of salsa-passion, and started to create and develope his own uniq style.
Didi was a performer and choreografer in dansgroups like " Salsa Heat Dance Company" (Amsterdam) and "Salsa Addicts" (Amsterdam)
With those groups he increase as a performer, dancer and teather and traveled in Holland and Europe. Salsa Addicts won the first price in the European Salsa Championship in the catergorie "Team-salsa" in the European Salsa Congress, Amsterdam in june 2003. It was the same competition the former swedish salsa group "Club Latino" won in year 2000.
Didi moved from Holland to Sweden in the end of year 2003, and started directly to dance together with Stockholmsalsadance as a instructor and performer.
Didi has also a full time job in the swedish penitiary institute (prison) as a teather in selfdefence and conflictmanagment for employees.
